Prague born sax-player Philip Noha and native German Jochen Eickenberg on keys, are

La teatru - "Nunta cu divort" si "Comedia Rosie"

Pentru ca am fost lenesoi nu am scris cand trebuia, dar scriu acum. Am fost la teatru. Prima piesa pe care am vazut-o "Nunta cu divort" - la Teatrul evreiesc, saptamanile trecute. O comedie muzicala in regia lui Dan Tudor, cu: Viorica Bantas, Marius Drogeanu, Geni Brenda, Veaceslav Grosu, Leonie Waldman Eliad, Mircea Drimbareanu, Nicolae Calugarita, Mircea Dragoman, Nicolae Predica, Mirela Nicolau.
A fost primul spectacol pe care il vedeam la Teatru Evreiesc si mi s-a parut fun sa stau toata piesa cu un receptor la ureche. Desigur nu inteleg de ce nu s-au alocat fonduri pentru inlocuirea acelor jumatati de receptoare cu niste casti decente, ieftine..Probabil sistemul cu "priza" este mai practic si vechi de cand lumea. Pentru cei care nu au fost la acest teatru trebuie sa precizez ca spectacolul este in hebrew (am scris bine?!) si ti se traduce in receptor pe care il bagi intr-o priza aflata in manerul scaunului. Foarte bun spectacol, excelenti actorii. Eu sunt oricum genul care se entuziasmeaza si care traieste diferit emotiile, dar va recomand sa mergeti.
Puteti urmari acest spectacol Miercuri 27 febr si sambata 1 martie de la orele 19.00.

"Comedia Rosie" - un spectacol la care am ras si apoi am plans. Putin, discret, sa nu ma vaza lumea. Este povestea unei familii monitorizata de securistii lui Ceasca, familia primului comunist din Romania - domnul Carceanu, ajuns la o varsta venerabila.
Am intrat in sala si in "casa" oamenilor, ne-am asezat si am inceput sa studiez fiecare props, decorul care imi aducea aminte de casele noastre de pe vremuri - casa lui Tanti Nina..O bucatarie mica, cateva vase, o oala cu smaltul sarit, o cutie portocalie de cacao, o sticla de lapte si borcanul acela de iaurt dupa care inca suspin..Bibelourile, mileurile, telefonul ascultat, tevile si caloriferul..totul asezat unde trebuie. La televizor un discurs al raposatului Nea Nicu. Domnul Carceanu locuieste cu sotia, sunt batrani si ascultandu-i vorbind imi aduc aminte vag niste conversatii auzite cand eram noi mici, acele discutii despre "stapanire" care nu aveau voie sa aiba loc.
Am ras si eu si toata sala. Pestrita adunare as zice. Oameni care au venit la teatru sa isi aduca aminte de vremurile trecute, oameni care habar nu au ce a fost si au vazut doar o comedie..
La final mi-am inghitit lacrimile si am apalaudat cu putere. Ce ne facem cand acesti actori adevarati, marii actori nu vor mai fii? Ion Lucian are o varsta, cred ca ii mai batran decat bunica si totusi joaca, este pe scena si este extraordinar.
Vorba Sargai..or sa moara toti si ramanem cu Nicoleta Luciu..

Mergeti la teatru. Eu merg rar si totusi ma bucur, ma minunez cand vad sali pline, cand vad oameni care stau pe jos, asezati pe un rucsac..

Madelyne Galindo, a spokeswoman for the New York Police Department.

NYPD spokesman Paul Browne said Ledger's body was discovered in the bedroom of his residence by his housekeeper and a masseuse who had an appointment with the actor at 3 p.m.Contrary to early reports, the apartment where he was found does not belong to Mary-Kate Olsen, Browne said. The music has been written by Mikis Theodorakis as a soundtrack for the movie "Les Amants de Teruel" in 1962 , and Edith Piaf was the singer.
In a concert performance in 2005 Giorgos Dalaras and Dulce Pontes sang this song as a duet in a Greek-French version as "Omorphi Poli" (Beautiful City ), that was the original title for the song .
A Portuguese version as "Os Amantes " has been recently recorded by Dulce Pontes on her new album "O coraçao tem tres portas".

The Postal Service

The Postal Service is an indie electro-pop band, which started life as a side project for singer Ben Gibbard of Death Cab for Cutie and producer Jimmy Tamborello of Dntel, Headset and Figurine. Several songs on their first LP, Give Up, feature guest vocals from Jenny Lewis, the lead singer of Rilo Kiley, a band which was once on the same label as Death Cab (Barsuk Records) and vocals from Jen Wood, an indie rock solo artist. Chris Walla recorded some of the songs and played the piano on Nothing Better.

The way in which the group combines electronic backing tracks with poppy hooks is somewhat reminiscent of 1980s new wave music. The group formed, in 2001, after Gibbard contributed vocals for a song on Dntel's album Life Is Full of Possibilities called (This Is) The Dream of Evan and Chan. This song sparked an EP of remixes by other artists, such as Lali Puna, The Flaming Lips, Safety Scissors, Barbara Morgenstern and Superpitcher and was so well received that the two artists decided that further collaboration was in order.

Its name comes from the manner in which their songs were written, due to the fact that the two of them lived too far away to be able to work together in person. Tamborello would create beats and mail them to singer and lyricist Gibbard, who would then edit them and put his melodies over the tracks and mail them back. Gibbard didn't write any of the lyrics until the tracks were completely finished.

Despite the fact that their main bands are still active, The Postal Service has supported its full-length album Give Up with a successful concert tour and has stated intentions to tour more in the future. The album's most notable single was Such Great Heights that has been featured in various television commercials, series, and movie trailers also remixed by John Tejada. The album also recently became the most successful album for the Sub Pop label since Nirvana's debut album Bleach.

The Postal Service more recently contributed a cover of Against All Odds to the soundtrack to the 2004 motion picture Wicker Park, and the band has worked on several remixes of other artists, including Do You Realize?? (Postal Service remix) (from Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots) and Little Girl Blue (Postal Service Remix) (from Verve Remixed 3) and Mushaboom (Postal Service Remix). Gibbard doesn't sing on these remixes (except for Feist's Mushaboom), and it is likely that he has granted Jimmy Tamborello permission to work alone under the name The Postal Service.

At least two songs have been recorded as of June 2006 for the newest The Postal Service album.

Fasolasi, Zulu Zazu, Pârtzsec, Incompleta, Barbămoale, Pupidulce... Sunt numele unor prinţese nemaipomenite, păcat că “date uitării sau necunoscute”. Şerban Foarţă le-a “tradus” pe româneşte, cu mai mult sau mai puţin respect.

Cum aţi ajuns să traduceţi această carte – o carte pentru copii?

Nu este o carte 100% pentru copii – cel mai bine i s-ar potrivi titlul unei poezii de Max Jacob: “Pentru copii şi pentru rafinaţi”. Adică o pot citi şi copiii, dar va face, probabil, mai multă plăcere bătrânilor. Aţi văzut că bătrânii se joacă de multe ori cu jucăriile copiilor, mai ales cu trenuleţele mecanice...
Doamna Simona Radu Răuţă, o persoană foarte specială şi plăcută, mi-a dat un telefon şi mi-a spus că se inaugurează o editură şi că îmi propune această carte a prinţeselor. La început am zis “nu” – nu ştiam despre ce este vorba –, dar m-a convins şi m-am convins şi eu pe mine, dintr-o anume curiozitate. Am tradus-o foarte repede. Şi nu e uşoară, are o mulţime de expresii idiomatice...

În ce măsură aţi trădat textul original?

Sigur că am trădat textul original! O traducere care nu trădează deloc – în sens pozitiv – o carte, este anostă, fadă, aritmetică. Unu egal unu. O traducere bună e obligată să trădeze, pentru a aduce anumite expresii din limba în care se traduce în limba ţintă. De exemplu, în franţuzeşte mere, mer (mamă, mare) sună la fel, dar în româneşte, ca să traduc un mic joc de cuvinte – “marea este mama noastră a tuturor” – ce pot să fac? Îmi iese “mamă-mare”... Textul are multe asemenea uşoare jocuri de cuvinte, digresiuni, deraieri lexicale etc.

Recunoaşteţi că aţi inventat cuvinte? Citesc aici despre o prinţesă “poreclită şi obrazul cu belezne”...

Pe “beleaznă” l-am scos din dicţionar! Mărturisesc că n-am ştiut că există, până ce n-am citit... În franceză, era vorba despre cicatricele de după un duel şi am pus “belezne” pentru că sună mult mai pitoresc, noi nu prea având instituţia duelului. Deşi cicatrice avem destule. Vedeţi, nu e inventat de mine, am căutat în dicţionar la “cicatrice” şi am dat de “belezne”, care rimează cu “bezne” (şi cred că vin de la “belea”, dar nu sunt sigur). Mai sunt şi altele. De exemplu, este un capitol despre “bouder” – la francezi, cineva se retrage într-o cameră separată ca să budeze. E din familia lui “boudoir”, cuvânt pe care-l avem şi noi... Dar singur, fără rude. Şi atunci am improvizat: eu budez, tu budezi...

Seamănă “Prinţesele” cu “Enciclopedia zmeilor” de Cărtărescu?

Seamănă. Dar cu o anumită deosebire. Asta e o carte mai fantezistă, pe când a lui Cărtărescu, fără să fie chiar o carte de ştiinţă, e mai aplicată, mai tehnică... Dacă eşti mai tentat de o seriozitate de ordin “scientist” îţi place mai mult “Enciclopedia...”, iar dacă preferi fantezia şi graţia, citeşti cu mai multă plăcere cartea despre care vorbim.
